The Black Knight ion Galaxy 140g Squash Racquet is new for the 2011 - 2012 season. It features the original ion frame like the ion storm and ion drive racquets and includes the Power of 6 Technology, Thermal Core Technology, 16K, and NCT Technology. Featuring the largest bridged head size and a close stringing pattern, this racquet is a great fit for both the singles and doubles player.

The Black Knight ION Galaxy squash racquet uses Thermal Core technology during the manufacturing process heating the racket core to an even higher degree of temperature during the curing phase, thus the ION Galaxy's frame has been cured uniformly both inside and out. This Thermal Core variance to the carbon fibers ensures the frame is extremely responsive. By providing both stiffness and reactive properties this combination produces the control of a very stiff frame but complimented with the power of a traditionally more flexible frame.

16K HYPER TENSILE FIBRE (new in 2011) comprises 16,000 individual strands for more structural strength and durability.

Power of 6 models have been fine-tuned for optimum performance by first analyzing the frame under stress at 6 points, from the handle to the top of the head. The resulting data is then used to make further adjustments to the frame until the target specifications are achieved. Power of 6 is a feature of several new models introduced in 2011 including the Galaxy model.

Racquet comes factory strung with Ashaway Powernick 18 and includes a full cover.
